Texas SNAP June 2026 Payment Schedule – Full Lone Star Card Deposit Dates, Benefit Amounts And EBT Rules

cMillions of Texas residents will receive their June 2026 SNAP benefits on different dates throughout the month.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as SNAP and formerly called Food Stamps, helps low-income households buy eligible food items each month.

Although SNAP is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, payments in Texas are managed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Benefits are loaded onto the Lone Star Card, the state’s Electronic Benefit Transfer card, which works like a debit card at approved grocery stores and retailers.

Texas has around 3.5 million SNAP recipients, so payments are not sent on one single day. Instead, the state uses staggered payment dates based on a household’s eligibility determination group number.

How Texas SNAP Payment Dates Are Decided

The payment date depends on when a household was certified for SNAP and the final digit or final two digits of the eligibility determination group number.

Recipients can find this number on their TF0001 award letter, which also lists the monthly benefit date. Those unable to locate the number can call 800-777-7328 or 2-1-1 for help.

Payments are usually deposited before 8:00 a.m. on the scheduled issuance date. Recipients can also check benefit details through YourTexasBenefits.com.

SNAP Schedule For Benefits Certified After May 1, 2023

Households certified after May 1, 2023, receive benefits between the 1st and 28th of each month. The exact date is based on the last two digits of the eligibility determination group number.

Payments begin with numbers 00-03 on the 1st of the month and continue in groups each day. For example, 04-06 are paid on the 2nd, 07-10 on the 3rd, 14-17 on the 5th, 28-31 on the 9th, 50-53 on the 15th, 68-71 on the 20th, 82-85 on the 24th, and 96-99 on the 28th.

This schedule spreads deposits across nearly the entire month to manage benefit distribution smoothly.

Older Certification Payment Schedules

Households certified after June 1, 2020, but before May 1, 2023, generally receive benefits between the 16th and 28th of each month. Their payment date is also based on the last two digits of the eligibility determination group number.

For example, groups 00-03 and 54-57 are paid on the 16th, while groups 42-45, 50-53 and 96-99 are paid on the 28th.

Households certified before June 1, 2020, follow a shorter schedule based on the final digit of their number. Those ending in 0 are paid on the 1st, 1 on the 3rd, 2 on the 5th, 3 on the 6th, 4 on the 7th, 5 on the 9th, 6 on the 11th, 7 on the 12th, 8 on the 13th and 9 on the 15th.

Benefits cannot be used for alcohol, tobacco, vitamins, medicines, supplements, live animals, hot prepared foods or non-food items such as cleaning supplies, paper products and pet food.

Texas SNAP payments for June 2026 will be issued throughout the month based on each household’s certification date and eligibility determination group number.
