A lucky lottery player in Cottonwood is celebrating a major Powerball win following Wednesday night’s drawing.
According to the Arizona Lottery, a Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Safeway store located near Arizona State Route 89A and Cottonwood Street. Because the ticket included the Power Play option, the prize increased to $200,000.
The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were:

- 31
- 51
The Powerball number was 13, and the Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 4X.
Lottery officials confirmed that no player matched all the winning numbers needed to claim the grand prize jackpot. As a result, the Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday has climbed to an estimated $172 million.
